Basket: My new favorite application

This KDE application called “Basket” is perfect for someone like me. I do a lot of research on a plethora of topics. I am constantly cutting and pasting. Something like Knotes is nice, but it does not help much with organizing all of my notes or compiling them.

Here are some of the features that make Basket simply fantastic:

1. You can literally paste anything into it, text, images, links, etc.
2. It has multiple tabs for more than one project. I usually keep one “general” tab and then other specific projects
3. It can be exported to an HTML page that can then be printed.
4. You can type and/or paste rich text (i.e. styles such as bold or italics).
5. There are different formats, such as stacks, to-do lists, clipboard managers, etc.
6. For web designers, you can paste colors.
7. Mirror entire folders.
8. Search as you type.

You can check it out at the Basket website. It is still in a development version, although it is stable and easy to use, and it is already available for install in most GNU/Linux distributions and for FreeBSD.
