Umm Zahra, my love. You have given me four years of love and happiness, and two beautiful daughters. May Allah reward you infinitely for being the best of mothers and following in the footsteps of Maryam (peace be upon her), mother of Jesus (peace be upon him) and Fatimah (peace be upon her), mother of al-Hassanain (peace be upon them). For each of the past 1,460 days, I have smiled at least once because of you. I pray that Allah gives us many more…nay, eternity together in this life and in the next.

Today is Umm Zahra’s birthday. She’s getting a special surprise (more on that later), inshaAllah.

In other news, it looks as though Eid will be on the 31st of December, inshaAllah. Many activities planned, including bowling. It should be fun.

Once again, my prayers go out to those on Hajj, both for those who will complete it and those who return to Allah along the journey.

I still haven’t posted any pictures of the little one. Well, you can blame Kodak for that. Apparently, the “charger” that I bought for my EasyShare camera is not actually a charger. It is only an a/c adapter so that you can use it plugged in (I know, you’re thinking, ’so just use it plugged in.’) I will, inshaAllah. But I still need to find that charger or buy a new one. We’re not always near an outlet with those “Kodak moments” occur.

I know a lot of you are dying to see more pictures of the new baby. Well, here’s what happened: after we moved into our new house the charger for our camera somehow got lost. Now, I could take more pictures with my Sony CLIE camera, but some of you might think that grain from the poor pixel quality is dirt on my baby girl’s face. So, innAllah ma’a-sabireen…we finally got a new charger. Expect hundreds of pics to start flowing in any day now, inshaAllah.
